Dog Training - Greeting
My little Dachshund is usually a very happy dog, especially if there is someone that wants to come over and say hello to her. Then she jumps around and is totally ecstatic. This behavior is not always so bad, but sometimes it is better if she is able to sit still when I greet others.
So, the next training session is the “Greeting and teeth inspection” exercise. The dog shall sit while someone comes over and shake hands, and then the person shall be able to take a look at the dogs teeth while the dog is still sitting. This is not an easy exercise and it takes quite a lot of practicing. Luckely she is allowd to wag her tail while sitting
