Dog Training - Go to target!

Here’s a video showing how I use a “target” to get Aurora to go to the cone. Before we could do this exercise, Aurora had to learn to step on the target. We practiced this part for a long time before we started to use the target in other exercises. Every time she stepped on the target with her left paw, she was rewarded with a treat! The target we use is a piece of a mousepad, it works well. Now we can use this target to learn new commands because Aurora knows that she is supposed to go and step on the target. Really a smart idea, thanks to Heidi at Norsk Hundeskole for teaching us this!!
